Shôko Barcelona x Abroad Fest

Wednesday, May 08 · 2019

Abroadfest is Europe’s largest festival for American college students abroad and an opportunity to see some of the world’s best performances and DJs. The festival, aimed at students with “high purchasing power” living in Europe, returns to Barcelona for the seventh time on 28 February, 1 and 2 March.  This electronic music festival will bring international artists such as Tiësto, Drezo, What So Not, Phantoms among others of great renown.

Most of the artists in the programme are performing for the first time in Spain. The festival has established itself as a benchmark whose programme includes emerging stars who are about to become global references in dance music.

The ambitious show sponsored by De Lis Group will attract 20,000 young people from the USA, the UK, Germany, Holland and France, among others, but also hundreds of people from Barcelona who are hungry for a dance floor. After tonight’s big party, the singularity of the bet is that all kinds of offers are made during the weekend to visit cultural spaces in the city, visit restaurants and make friends halfway around the world.

It is planned that the festival has two annual calls (another in autumn). The one that now sees the light has been sold abroad as a package of three nights, with proposals ranging from the Picasso Museum to excursions by bicycle or helicopter, for those who want to immerse themselves in Barcelona beyond their nights. However, tickets are on sale for the local public in each of the activities. In fact, its philosophy is to integrate locals and foreigners under the umbrella of music.
